Late Night Event Application Tips
Tips for Completing Your Moonlight Madness Application
General Tips
- Use the forms provided-- either the Microsoft Word, PDF, or online version of the application.
- Read the Moonlight Madness Letter and all of the instructions carefully and completely before beginning your application. Make sure you read and sign (electronic signature is okay) or check the box verifying that you agree to abide by the Requirements of the Grant Recipient.
- Don't leave anything blank. If you are unsure of how to answer something, contact the Late Night Programming Coordinator, Jason Gloe (jgloe@studentlife.osu.edu) and ask.
- Be as complete and detailed as possible when writing your event abstract (or describing the nature of the event, goals, advertising, location, etc.). The abstract should be at least one full page double spaced. The more information you give to the Review Committee, the better!
- Make sure the Line Item Budget matches up with the Budget Narrative and the Anticipated Sources of Income for the Event. Double check your addition and subtraction.
- Be as complete and detailed as possible on your budget narrative as well. State why each item is needed and where the funds will be spent.
- Proofread your application (this includes those of you filling out the online application!). The Review Committee takes into consideration the quality of the written application.
Contact the Student Wellness Center's Late Night Programming Coordinator, Jason Gloe (jgloe@studentlife.osu.edu) if you would like to receive an electronic example of an excellent application.
