Recreational Sports at The Ohio State University
The Department of Recreational Sports offers many opportunities for physical activity, including fitness classes, rock climbing, intramural sports, adventure trips and much more. Personal training is available for students who are seeking some additional guidance at the gym. Fitness assessments are also available to test strength, endurance, BMI and other fitness measures.
Eating Disorder Treatment Team
The Eating Disorder Treatment (EDT) Team is a multidisciplinary group consisting of mental health professionals, physicians, and nutritionists who collaborate to provide appropriate assessment, intervention and support to students on Ohio State's campus who are struggling with eating disorder concerns.
Project HEAL helps to fund people with eating disorders who want to recover but can't afford treatment. For more information or to apply for a grant, go here.
National Eating Disorders Assocation
This website connects individuals struggling with disordered eating to important resources, such as hotlines, treatment referrals and support groups. There are also resources for family and friends, including tips for talking about eating disorders and ways to prevent eating disorders. Educators and coaches may benefit from the resources in this section of the website.
Counseling and Consulation Service
Group counseling sessions are available for individuals dealing with disordered eating or body image concerns. Additionally, individual counseling is available for all currently enrolled Ohio State students.
