Social Skills and Civil Engagement 

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) examine effective interpersonal communication styles and skills; (2) recognize and respect personal and social boundaries; and (3) review conflict management styles.

Gender Roles and Stereotypes

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) discuss gender norms and gender roles in society; (2) recognize gender stereotypes and bias; and (3) reflect on their own personal experiences and the connection to civility.

Sexual Health Education 

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) discuss how to have great sex for shared pleasure; (2) identify realistic sex expectations; and (3) review the impact of alcohol on sex and the decision-making involved.

Healthy Relationship Skills 

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) discuss interpersonal skills for healthy relationships; (2) identify effective conflict management within relationships; and (3) understand civil dating skills.

Empathy and Behavior Management 

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) develop interpersonal skills for showing empathy; and (2) recognize the influence of their thoughts, emotions, and stress on decision-making and behavior.

Violence Prevention 

Participants in this interactive workshop will (1) understand forms of interpersonal violence; (2) discuss their personal responsibility to promote community safety; and (3) review bystander intervention techniques.

Student Wellness Center Overview 

This 30 minute session will provide an overview of all the services that the Student Wellness Center offers, and also ways that you can become involved in our efforts. This session is useful for student or staff groups who are looking to learn more about the Student Wellness Center.
