Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff play a key role in connecting our student body to campus resources relating to their wellness. Staff members at the Student Life Student Wellness Center are available to consult Ohio State faculty and staff on strategies to incorporate wellness into the spaces where they interact with students. Whether you are looking for resources for the classroom, activities for your student organization, professional development for student employees or tips for hosting a one-on-one conversation about wellness concerns; we have a number of great resources designed to meet your needs.
The Student Life Student Wellness Center now has a staff member dedicated to assisting faculty and staff in bringing wellness into their student interactions. Please reach out to Ari Camel with questions, suggestions or collaboration opportunities.
Supporting Students with the Health and Wellness Resource Guide
The Ohio State University is a resource rich campus with an overwhelming amount of services available to our student community. Oftentimes, it can be difficult to know where to turn to get the right support. To help the campus community navigate wellness related resources on our campus and ultimately support one another, the Student Life Student Wellness Center has created a comprehensive Health and Wellness Resource Guide to assist students, faculty and staff in finding the proper support resource on-campus. This easily searchable guide includes on-campus resources for undergraduate, graduate and professional students relating to the Ten Dimensions of Wellness, emergency response and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Additionally, for employees interested in learning more about supporting student well-being, we encourage individuals to view and sign up for one of our Faculty and Staff Workshops, learn about the Wellness Assessment and review related data reports and to check out the Teaching and Learning Resource Center.

Presentations are available for undergraduate, graduate, and professional student populations and last about one hour.

Don't Cancel That Class! Specifics:
The DCTC initiative is designed for any member of the University who teaches an academic course. Rather than cancelling your session, you may elect to invite the SWC into your classroom to share important services and resources with your students. DCTC assumes that the primary instructor will be away during this session; therefore, there are a few important pieces which must be confirmed prior to this program -
- In addition to completing the form above, please expect a quick call or meeting with the Coordinator in charge of your presentation
- During this chat, you will confirm specifics about time, date and location, as well as determining a key point person to assist with the class during the session
- The SWC staff members presenting this content are not responsible for attendance expectations, so it is important to identify a student leader or TA who will assist during this session
