Nicholas Fowler

Nick serves as the Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Coordinator within the Student Life Student Wellness Center at Ohio State. As the AOD Prevention Coordinator, he supports both the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs program area of the Student Wellness Center, and the University goal of reducing risky behaviors and harmful consequences of alcohol and marijuana abuse. He does so by facilitating one-on-one BASICS and CASICS educational interventions with students, overseeing ScreenU operations, facilitating outreach presentations, as well as training and supervising a group of BASICS/CASICS student facilitators. In October of 2017, Nick created and launched the Ohio State University Diversion Program (OSUDP), and continues to facilitate this program to provide meaningful, educational intervention for students going through a diversionary program related to minor alcohol offenses.

Nick graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition Sciences and a triple minor in Business, Leadership Studies, and Disability Studies, from The Ohio State University in May of 2016. He started his time here in the Student Wellness Center in September of 2016, and is excited to be back at The Ohio State University to be a part the campus community once again. Nick is currently working toward a Master's of Public Health, and plans to complete his degree in the Autumn semester of 2020.
