Micro Wellness Series

Spring 2023 Wellness Micro Series

During the below sessions, staff from the Student Life Student Wellness Center and across campus will tackle macro wellness topics in micro sessions. Attend just one or all depending on your schedule availability. Each session is 20 minutes or less and will take place via zoom. 

Interested individuals can complete our Micro Series Registration Form to sign up for the dates and times they are interested in attending.

Creating a Wellness Focused Learning Environment
During this 20 minute session, the Student Life Student Wellness Center will share quick tips for creating a more wellness focused environment. Facilitators will provide participants with an understanding of why wellness matters in the classroom and how they can make a difference in their student interactions.

Mindfulness in the Classroom – How Spiritual Wellness Can be Included in our Everyday Interactions
During this 20 minute session, participants will learn what spiritual wellness is and how they can infuse spiritual wellness practices into their interactions with students. Join us to learn about the many definitions within spiritual wellness and gain some tips for creating a more mindful classroom.

Basic Needs and the Student Experience
During this 20 minute session, Student Life Student Wellness Center staff will discuss the scope of basic need insecurity for our campus community and how this impacts student academic success. This program will include an overview of how staff and faculty can support their students and refer to both on and off campus resources.

Digital Skills Competencies and Technology Access

During this 20 minute session, the Student Life Student Wellness Center and the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation will discuss the campus’ new Digital Skills Competencies and how staff and faculty can incorporate these themes into their interactions with students. Resources and tips will be shared on how to address gaps in technology access among students.

Mild, Moderate, Severe – The Spectrum of Care on Campus

During this 20 minute session, the Student Life Student Wellness Center will give an overview of the spectrum of care on campus. Ranging from mild, moderate, to severe, participants will gain a basic understanding of the concerns students are facing today and how to identify where to refer them for care.
