Cooking Demo: Buckeye Bites

Did you know you have all the tools to cook a delicious desert with a microwave? Join the Student Wellness Center's Registered Dietitian for a cooking demo to make Buckeye Bites. Ingredients include peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, pretzels, and chocolate. Participants will be responsible for picking up their ingredients and supplies in the Student Wellness Center the week of the event. Supplies are limited to the first 30 people who sign-up.

The Weight of Stigma in a Diet Culture World

Weight stigma is a pervasive issue that affects people of all shapes and sizes, particularly people in larger bodies. This interactive presentation will explore factors that contribute to weight bias and its harmful effects, myths around Body Mass Index and weight loss, and how movements like Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating improve health outcomes from a holistic approach. This webinar is part of events for Love Your Body Week.

Plant-Based Diets: What’s at ‘steak’?

There's a growing interest in following plant-based diets for a variety of reasons like the environment, animal welfare, health and finances. This workshop will cover the benefits and considerations of following a plant-based diet, along with tips and ideas to ensure you get the nutrients you need for a 'plant-astic' diet.
Mindful Eating in the N.O.W. Moment

Have you ever struggled to be in tune with your body’s needs or found yourself eating for reasons other than hunger? This interactive presentation will explore the 10 principles of becoming an intuitive eater and how to develop a develop a healthy, positive relationship with food. This event will take place as part of events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
