Individuals who are in need of accommodations to attend one of our events, such as live captioning, can request by emailing Mackenzie Hogan. Typically, 10 days notice will allow us to provide seamless access.

Carry Narcan and Save a Life with Omega Gamma

Omega Gamma, in partnership with the Student Life Student Wellness Center, are excited to provide Naloxone training for all Ohio State students on National Overdose Awareness Day, August 28, 2022. As we continue to see the impact that fentanyl contamination and substance misuse have across the state of Ohio and around our campus, it is important that we are prepared to help save a life. Join Omega Gamma for a discussion on substance misuse, the fentanyl crisis, overdose awareness, and how to support a friend who uses substances followed by a Narcan training provided by the Student Life Student Wellness Center and Naloxone at naloxone at no cost to attendees.

CRC All Recovery Meeting

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

The CRC All-Recovery meeting is an opportunity for Ohio State students in or seeking recovery from alcohol and other drugs to build community and support one another in their daily journey in a meeting that is open to all recovery pathways. This meeting happens every Wednesday throughout the school year.

While this is an open meeting, we ask that only individuals who identify as in or seeking recovery support attend. Recovery Allies or other interested individuals can reach out to recovery@osu.edu for more information and ways to get connected.

SMART Meeting

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

SMART Recovery is a science-based program to help people manage their recovery from any type of addictive behavior. This includes addiction to substances such as alcohol, nicotine, or drugs, or behaviors such as gambling, sex, eating, self-harming, etc. SMART stands for Self-Management And Recovery Training. SMART Recovery helps participants decide if they have a problem, builds their motivation to change, and offers a set of proven tools and techniques to support recovery in a supportive environment with others.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities Recovery Resources and Ohio College2Careers Partnership

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the state agency that helps individuals with disabilities find work and gain independence. One of our divisions, The Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, provides individuals with disabilities services and supports necessary to help them attain and maintain employment. Disabilities may include physical, intellectual, mental health, substance use, or sensory disabilities. In this session you will learn about the Vocational Rehabilitation process, recovery support, and the Ohio College2Careers program.
