Cannabis Awareness & Education Program (CAEP)

What is CAEP?

CAEP is a group experience for 8-12 students which lasts 60 minutes. It is intended for students who indicate moderately risky cannabis use or are involved in a policy violation related to cannabis or substance use. The sessions are facilitated by trained student coaches. In the sessions, students will be asked to examine how cannabis or substance use is impacting various dimensions of their well-being so that they can make healthier CAEP in the future.

Who can use CAEP?

Any Ohio State student can sign up to participate in a CAEP group. Whether required to participate or choosing to, CAEP is a great opportunity for students to learn about cannabis use and make plans to be safe when choosing to use cannabis.

What does the program include?

Each participant will receive a CAEP workbook that will be necessary to participate in the program. The workbooks will guide the student through the following topics:

  • Cannabis and Health
  • Facts about Cannabis
  • Associated Risks
  • Understanding Cannabis Dosages

How much does it cost?

CAEP is provided to Ohio State students at no cost.
