General Nutrition

Explore your current eating habits, build balanced meals and snacks, and integrate flexible, sustainable approaches to nutrition. Ideal if you’re looking to:

  • Learn the foundations of healthy eating
  • Create personalized meal and snack ideas
  • Implement mindful and intuitive eating skills

This option is best for students without health-related nutrition concerns or disordered eating.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Health concerns: gastrointestinal issues (e.g. Irritable Bowel Syndrome), multiple food allergies, gluten intolerance or Celiac disease, blood sugar issues (e.g. insulin resistance, diabetes), high blood pressure or high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, etc.
  • Disordered eating: chronic dieting, meal skipping, fasting, overeating, compensatory behaviors (e.g., purging, laxative use, excessive exercise), or extreme picky eating.

For nutrition concerns, choose from the following:

Important Considerations:

  • If you need to reschedule a first-time appointment, contact nutrition@osu.edu to avoid completing the intake form again.
  • If you have questions or difficulty finding a day and time for your appointment, email nutrition@osu.edu.
  • Full-time faculty/staff, including those who are taking classes, are encouraged to use their Ohio State health insurance to meet with a dietitian.
  • Appointments are available via Zoom for students enrolled at Ohio State's regional campuses (Marion, Mansfield, Newark, Lima and Wooster) and while away from Columbus campus for other circumstances (e.g., semester abroad, summer at home, internship out of state).
