Beyond the Scale: Embracing Body Diversity and Challenging Weight Stigma

Attend this exclusive webinar Beyond the Scale: Embracing Body Diversity and Challenging Weight Stigma, where we’ll explore how traditional views of health often link wellness to body size and weight—metrics that only provide part of the picture. In this session, we will question the long-held belief that weight is the key measure of health, delving into the Health at Every Size (HAES)® approach and the importance of size acceptance. We’ll also critically assess the Body Mass Index (BMI), a tool that has been widely criticized for its oversimplified view of health, and explore its limitations in evaluating an individual’s well-being. By gaining a broader perspective on health as a holistic concept—embracing mental, emotional, and physical wellness—we will uncover how individuals of all sizes can achieve and sustain optimal health. This program is free and open to all.

Date: Wednesday, January 15

Time: 12  - 1:30 p.m.
